JoNoWriMo+1.5: FINISHED!!!

I’m pleased to announce the completion of draft #2 on a middle-grade novel (working title FRAMED).  The first draft was written and completed during last year’s JoNoWriMo+1.5.  That draft was pretty stinky.  This one has a bit of an odor to it, also, but nothing a little airing out won’t fix.  I mean, we’re not talking rotting cabbage or anything.  I hope.  We shall see in a couple months when I pull it out and read start to finish.

Thank you, thank you to

for spearheading this community effort again.  And thanks to my LJ friends who cheered me on along the way.  It’s really so wonderful taking this journey with all of you.

I wish each of you happy writing as you forge ahead with your projects and deadlines.

Thanks for the YAY! And thanks for the good wishes on the airing. I hope I’m not too delusional about the stink factor but we shall see.
The photo is gorgeous, isn’t it? I found it on Photobucket and wanted to use it because it’s seasonal and hints of more up ahead.

  1. Oh, Tracy, I’m hootin’ and hollerin’ for you! Get out your hoop and let’s have a party!
Congratulations, dear friend. I’m inspired by your dedication and follow-through. I can’t wait to hear more about FRAMED.

    • Thank you, Melodye! I’m grinning now imagining you hootin’ and hollerin’.
The hoop was out this morning and I (somewhat) learned another trick. Hooray!
I’ll share more about FRAMED when it feels solid in my writerly soul (too much light too soon and it gets away from me).

    • Thank you, Nan. It’s so great to share here because everyone gets what a wonderful feeling it is to make it through a draft. And I’m especially happy since this one feels much farther along than the first.

  5. As a new friend, I wasn’t along for all the cheering through the first draft – but I won’t let that stop me from whoo-hooing along with everyone else as we celebrate your completion of draft #2! Yay for you! :o)

  6. NO, NO, NO. I am not speedy. My first draft was finished a year ago and then I worked on another ms in the meantime. I got back to this draft in mid-summer and was floundering until Jo cracked the whip.

    I’m like the Anti-Speedy.

    • Thanks, Jennifer. Yes, for once in my life I’m ahead of schedule (the deadline is Nov 30). I already had 11k written when we started but I’m still damned proud of writing 30k to finish!
Thanks for the friend and back atcha.
