It really was very ugly. There was such a difference between the crowds at the DNC and the RNC. The DNC had a feeling of enthusiasm and happiness and excitement but the crowd shots last night reflected such a mean-spirited atmosphere. People smiled and laughed but there was a grimness and underlying yuck to it.
