- I’ve written 1000 words per day every day on my WIP and am now up to 46k words! You might think that means I’ve written every day for 46 days in a row but it’s actually 78 days (because I’m also doing revisions on another project).
- I’ve formed a good habit!
- I’ve actually formed a good habit. Wow. (I have lots of other less-than-stellar habits so I’m basking in the glow, people.)
- This morning I finished another round of revisions on my humorous boy book.
- I’ve had the plague since last Tuesday.
- Today I’m dressed in real go-out-into-the-world clothes for the first time in days.
- It should be noted, however, that flannel jammies can be very fashionable; it all depends on the attitude.

A WIP and a REV????? I can’t keep up! Is the boy book the agent bait? If you’re up for it, I’ll trade boy books with you. (I’m up to 50 pp on mine….)

Yes, I was able to begin the revisions (again) when the boys went back to school. It’s amazing how much I can get done now that I’ve programmed my brain to get into writing mode Every Single Day!
The boy book is the agent bait and I’d LOVE to swap with you when you’re ready.

Let’s hear it for good habits being formed! Glad you are feeling better & wearing real clothes again (although flannel jammies definitely have their place!) :^)

Thanks, Julia. I was a little worried about going out today since it was to help with the meal but I think the exertion actually was a good kick-start. Hooray for rejoining the land of the living!

You’re doing better than me! I need more hours in the day.

Thanks for the soup. I was definitely needing the warm, comforts the last few days. I’m fortunate because I’m not working anywhere but in my house so that’s how I’m getting stuff done. But I know what you mean about wanting more hours in the day.

Go Tracy!
Glad you’re feeling better, and glad you’re making such good progress!!!
I wrote 5 pages yesterday, and I’ve set the same goal for today. My husband’s away, so I’m writing in my pajamas or (clean) workout clothes, hurray!

You rock!!!
I’m sorry to hear you haven’t been feeling well, though — and I hope you’re truly on the mend (not just being forced to go out when feeling crummy).

Thanks, Robin. I am on the mend and did the meal downtown which wasn’t as tough on me as I’d worried. Turns out I probably got it last Monday from our director who was just getting sick. We both showed up today with chapped noses from all that blowing. Yuck.

I’m pretty amazed, too. I didn’t think I could write that many words without going off on bizarre tangents that take 20 pages to get back on track. I’ve definitely developed some new muscle doing this. I’m feeling better about myself as a writer!!

I somehow average out 1000 words a day over the course of the year…I think I might be slacking lately, though. I need to step it up! Maybe I need more fashionable flannel pajamas to wear as I write. ^_~

I think you’re perfectly fine with your method, Jackie. It’s/you’re a winner! I’m just so thrilled to discover I have this in me without meandering all over the plot line. My discipline has brought new focus, and that makes me happy.

I shouldn’t even be griping about my wordcount in your post–tacky! I think 1000 words a day is kind of a magic number and I’m glad you’ve been hitting it!

Tacky, schmacky. No worries here. I figure we’re all in this together and everyone needs a tug on the sleeve now and again.
And yes, 1000 words/day does feel a big magical. š

You’ve got oodles of good habits. You’re a hard worker all the way around. The other day I thought about the photo of your front door you’d just painted. It was a work of art. Really. And when you’d first posted it, I thought how does someone begin and end a painting project plus post a photo of it, all in one day?!

Sorry to hear about the plague. I hope you fell better – and don’t overdo it if you actually go out.

Thanks, Kelly. I’m doing better although was low energy today. I’m resting up so I can hit the ground running when I get going again. š
