Not to anthropomorphize but I think this Blue Jay and I might be feeling the same:
Kinda out-of-focus.
A little confused.
In ponder mode.

well, have another bit of inspiration from Bobby:
“All of us might wish at times that we lived in a more tranquil world, but we don’t. And if our times are difficult and perplexing, so are they challenging and filled with opportunity.”

What a perfect snippet to go along with my thoughts/feelings and this little bird, whatever he’s pondering.

You’re right, Melodye. I found my wings this afternoon and made a commitment to (finally) get back to my 1000 words/day routine. I got knocked off kilter back in November and it’s time to resume the regularly scheduled program.

It seems as if he’s thinking deep thoughts. If the owl says so, then it must be true.

I know you’ll be coming up with all sorts of good things in that ponder mode–like snagging a nice juicy worm! Well, snagging something good and juicy, right?

I didn’t get the worm, Lorraine, but I think I’ve reclaimed my writing mojo. As I told Melodye above, I’ve decided to get back to my old routine; it’s finally time.

What’s going on in that little bird brain, I wonder. 🙂 Cute.

Deep, deep thoughts. Or maybe he’s got water in his ear from too much time in the pool.

They tilt their heads to look for food, you know – their eyes are fixed in position, so they have to move their heads to change their view.

Yeah, I know about the vision thing. Which I guess means I did want to anthropomorphize. Busted! 🙂
