Begrudging Admiration

It’s hard to hold a grudge against dandelions
when they have such an awesome seed-dispersal system.

This puffball will probably add another seven gajillion dandelions to my yard
next spring.
Ah, well.

Here’s to embracing my inner weed.

    • I know, I know. It’s all a twisted mind-set. I guess at this point I’m not thrilled with the invasive-kill-everything-else-in-my-path nature of the dandelion. When dandelions are allowed to run amok, they don’t allow for much diversity.
      But they’re still very cool.

  1. There’s a million trillion wishes in a lawnful of dandelion puffs. That’s how I looked at it when I was younger, anyway. Now…I prefer discovering them in someone else’s lawn.
You, though, my friend Tracy…you are a welcome flower in my garden anytime!

    • I like that million trillion wishes idea. I never thought of it that way although I did love blowing those parachute seeds everywhere.
Thank you (again) for welcoming me to your garden. 🙂
