Yesterday I didn’t do a bit of writing.
I took the day off.
Instead, I aired out mattresses,
sprayed mini-blinds,
washed windows,
washed and rehung curtains,
and cleaned two bathrooms.
Today I worked on revisions
for about four hours.
I’m trying to decide which day’s work
gives me a greater sense of satisfaction.
My manuscript is almost ready to go.
On the other hand, those windows were really dirty.
Same rate of pay, I’m assuming?

I’m thinking it’s easier to breathe new life into your writing when the house is clean and de-cluttered.
Plus, when the windows are clean, you can see the pages better. 🙂

Ha! Not that I’m speaking from experience, of course. Most of this is in the hypothetical. 🙂

I think that’s very true. I’m loving the sunshine through the clean window, shining onto my clean, de-cluttered countertop.

Great progress, Tracy! Although I wouldn’t exactly have called it a day off…

Hypothetical for me, too, I’m afraid. I’m so thrilled to hear about your progress.

You crack me up. I get the concept; they’re just two very different types of work. My brain got a much-needed rest.
