I’m bird-rich right now:
Robins
Starlings
Flickers
Finches
Sparrows
But only the Finches and Sparrows are cooperating with the camera and lighting…

Even though it’s snowy and cold right now
these little guys make me feel warm inside.

Oh my goodness, I know exactly what you mean. My heart is glowing, too.
I wish my camera could get close-ups like that. Someday, I’m going to snag my husband’s digital SLR and learn how to use it.
Are you feeling better today? I hope so! ox

I zoomed in as close as I could to take the photos and then cropped these photos to zoom in even closer. They get a little blurry but still hold together, I think.
I’m feeling some better, thank you. Are you all the way better? I realized yesterday after commenting on your post that I didn’t even say anything about your health but then was too wiped to go back and remedy that. I was thinking about you, though, promise!
Go sneak a peek at your feeder and see who’s there…

I am still suffering ill side effects. Main problem: My skin hurts, it’s so stretched by the swelling. I’ve blown up like a balloon, no hyperbole. Grr, and my clothes are too tight. 😦
Your pictures are stunning. SO beautiful. Did you use a regular optical zoom lens? Through a window, or close to the feeder?

FINALLY sent you an email….
Re the photos: I shoot through the window using the optical zoom lens. Then I crop the photos and zoom in some more that way.

Gorgeous – I don’t think we get those here.

If you don’t have these finches and sparrows in Oregon, I’m doubly glad I shared with you!

Beautiful! Makes me wish I had wings. (Though the being stuck out in the cold part wouldn’t be so good, I guess.) Thanks for sharing — with them, and with us!

The wings would be awesome but the cold part, not so awesome. I watch them out there on cold days, hunkered down in the plum bushes, and feel bad for them. On the other hand, they hang out in groups and that somehow seems warmer.

My cat is very happy since we refilled our feeders. Bird TV.

I love listening to the cat making those special noises he only makes when watching birds. I laugh every time.

Really, the robins will hang out through the snow?
Happy holidays (again) Tracy!

I was surprised to see the robins in the tree, too. I don’t think that’s typical and it makes me worry a bit. What does it all mean?!
We’re headed into the new year!!!

Birds are okay but for some reason she really likes watching the planes go overhead. She always stops what she’s doing and stares at them. Makes me wonder if she lived near the airport when she was younger.

I’ve got lots of “makes me wonder” about my dogs’ and cat’s lives before living with our family, too.
