You’ve got some bad-ass birds in your neighborhood, Tracy! I wouldn’t want that hawk (or the grackles) poking their beaks into MY business. 😉
Good luck with the paperwork…

We do have bad-ass birds here. Know what we saw the day before? A bald eagle eating from a carcass up in the open space. Then a coyote ran up and the eagle chased it off. Then the coyote came back. Plus there were lots of crows and magpies. Possibly a raven or two (we couldn’t confirm). It’s been quite the raptor extravaganza!

I drove past a hawk on one of the trees near the entrance to our neighborhood the other day — but I didn’t have my camera — I’m glad you did 🙂

I LOVE it when I’m driving along and just happen to see a hawk perched on a pole. It’s the best.

THAT’s what/who I need to make me get my writing work done! A gorgeous mean looking bird who would peck me if I don’t do stuff!

Yep, get yourself a gnarly bird of prey. I kept his photo up on the screen as I worked. (I didn’t get 100% done but I got close….about 97%).

He’s beautiful. The grackle is a scary-looking dude, though.

He was gorgeous. Zippy snapped a photo of him as he flew off but it’s out of focus. Quite the wing span!
(I like the grackles, too, though. They’re intense).

So regal looking!

He really was regal. I got photos of a squirrel hunkered down in the plum bushes. He stayed there until well after the hawk left. He knew the hawk was regal AND deadly.
