"Orange is the happiest color."
— Frank Sinatra
It’s a gray and gloomy day here
but just after Zebu left for school, I saw a flash of color in the bushes.
And then to my delight, this Western Tanager landed at the feeder:

It doesn’t look as if we’ll get any sunshine but all the glorious plumage has already brightened my day.
Maybe I’ll put on some Sinatra . . .
AT least it isn’t snowing 😉 Nice color, indeed!

Yes, you are correct. It is not snowing, and for that I am very grateful. Okay, Universe? I have no problem with the gray skies as long as they don’t include snow.

Here are some orange tulips for you.

Those are beautiful, Barb. Thank you! It’s funny but I can’t stand wearing the color orange (because it makes me look dead) but I enjoy it elsewhere. Birds, flowers, fruit, etc.

Glorious indeed! Love them both. Thanks for the lovely colours, Tracy.

Aren’t they gorgeous birds? That tanager was like a burst of color/light in all that gloom.

I’m not a fan of orange on me, but I sure love it on the birds. Happy, happy.

Me, too. We don’t see them around here much so it was a real treat.
