Zippy and I are off on an overnight.
In honor of his 50th birthday,
I’m taking him back to his place of birth.
No, sillies.
Not the hospital.
But we are going to Glenwood Springs,
his birth city.
There will hiking, hot springs, and a brewpub.
See you when we return!

We ended up skipping the hot springs because of the hike (which was beautiful but quite strenuous which meant we were starving by the time we reached the hotel).

It was absolutely gorgeous all the way around. The drive there through Glenwood Canyon is just stunning, and then we came home over Independence Pass which is also breathtaking.
