The bloom is the pinnacle of the flower’s purpose. Or is it? At that point the decline begins as far as it’s beauty. The flower is one step in the process of producing seed, a critical purpose in the life of the plant, ensuring the survival of the species.
Or am I overthrowing the role of the flower?
Depends on if you’re asking the flower or the pollinators, I suppose. Or the birds that feast on the seeds. In the aesthetic sense, I’d say the bloom is the pinnacle of traditional beauty and that everything that comes before and after is also intriguing in one way or another.
These flowers are so amazing. Anita
