For me, being in a car or on an airplane is like being in limbo.
It’s this dead zone between two places.
But to walk, you’re some place that’s already interesting.
You’re not just between places.
Things are happening.

It really resonates for me because I’m always stopping as I walk/hike for closer examinations and to ponder the happenings.

A good way to approach these outings, I think.

Like her view of walking 🙂 It also keeps me grounded in the world around me.

Yes, exactly! When I was on that long hike last week, I could touch aspen trunks along some parts of the trail and it was incredibly grounding and calming.
On another note, Rosaliene: I’ve been wondering if you’ve had trouble commenting on any other sites of if it’s just this one. I’m starting to think the problem is why the settings on my site and that maybe I should investigate a solution.

Your blog is not the only one with this problem. After having a comment disappear on another blog, I now copy my comments before clicking send. I’ve also experienced a similar problem on my own blog.

Well, I guess I’m glad it’s not only this site, but wish it wasn’t happening more frequently throughout.
