Rumsfeld Redux

In honor of his departure, here’s the quote that says it all:

“Reports that say that something hasn’t happened are always interesting to me, because as we know, there are known knowns. There are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns. That is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns — the ones we don’t know we don’t know. And if one looks throughout the history of our country and other free countries, it is the latter category that tend to be the difficult ones,” Rumsfeld said on Feb. 12, 2002.

HEY, RUMMY – DON’T LET THE DOOR HIT YOU ON THE WAY OUT!

“We do know of certain knowledge that he [Osama Bin Laden] is either in Afghanistan, or in some other country, or dead.”
Turns out that’s true … it’s the same “certain knowledge” that we had five years ago.

  3. Uhmm….Whaa? Wow, I’m going to miss all that enlightenment. How will I ever comprehend the whole known/unknown issue now?
