Just wanted to let you know how much it meant to me that you not only waded into yesterday’s story about R but took the time to validate my feelings.  It was an emotional rollercoaster as I imagined him dead in his house and then discovered he was still alive and angry as ever.  

Life is one crazy ride but it’s a helluva lot easier with people like you alongside me.  Thank you so much for sharing your hearts.

  3. I thought about you all day yesterday. I hope this story brings you some cheer.
    After not seeing him for several weeks, last evening Tommy rang our doorbell. He was excited to tell me he got a job handing out flyers and in a few weeks he may have another job. He’s living in an alley several blocks away but says he’s going to buy a car to live in. He was so excited about the possibilities. He said he was staying warm but that he was hungry. So, as I was just taking a pizza out of the oven, I wrapped it up and gave it to him. I told him to go to the spaghetti dinners on Mondays and to keep an eye out for a woman named Tracy. Maybe you’ll meet him.

      I’m so glad you saw Tommy again and that he’s doing all right. I hope he’s not handing out fliers for Mile Hi BLANK (Landscaping, Aerating, Window Cleaning, etc), because that company is a huge rip-off. I know other people from the spaghetti dinner who handed out fliers and never got paid and then also lined up a truck to do aeration and didn’t get paid. Mile Hi hires a lot of homeless and “illegal” immigrants, and rips them off knowing those people don’t have voices.
      I hope Tommy comes to the dinner and looks me up. I’d love to meet him.

  6. I hope you are feeling better about things today. Situations like that are always painful and never easy to go through.
    The thing is, you had that situation because you are kind and you care. I am glad to say you are my friend!
