%$^&*%#!!!!!!

I had a great post for the first day of spring, complete with many photos but for some bizarre reason even though I resized my photos so they wouldn’t explode off the screen into my friends’ eyes, the images appear enormous and unwieldy and just way too much to inflict on an unsuspecting populace.

So you’ll have to take my word for it that it was really cool. Possibly the best post ever.

  1. LOL — you notice that when my picture posts are too big, I just post them anyway 😉 Not nearly as courteous as you, heh.
I do mine on photobucket, and although it can take many edits, I can usually get them down to a decent size (though my post yesterday took about 45 minutes because of the editing challenges).

    • That’s what I do, too. And I went through each one after uploading it to make it the web size. The photo properties show it as web size but then when I insert it into my journal, they came out HUGE! If I had just one I’d probably do it but I had a bunch and didn’t want to explode anyone’s computer. Or head.
I’m off to look at your yesterday photo since you always have such nice ones….

      • I’ve noticed this problem with Photobucket/LJ a lot lately. I shrink down my photos to the web size, but they bust the margins when I insert them. Resize, repeat…doesn’t matter. I end up shrinking them by hand (using the corner “handles” and the shift key). Hmm, I don’t know why that is.
Regardless, I’m in awe of the pretend post. You have such a dramatic eye and artistic sensibility, and your beautiful words complement the photo so well. Evocative doesn’t begin to describe how the entry strikes me. Huzzah for a fine, first-day-of-Spring post. (Hee — do you feel any better?)
        Happy Spring, Tracy!

  5. Tracy, I’m imagining them now and they’re AWESOME.
Remember how I said my husband was reading Before I Die? Well, it’s breaking his heart just the way it broke mine. I wish they would stick some copies in the adult section of bookstores so it could get the wider readership it deserves.

    • They are awesome. You are correct. 🙂
Give your husband a hug for me. That one’s tough to read through the tears. Let’s just keep talking it up and get more readers.
