I’ve spent much of today trying to decide
whether I need to halt the agent search via
my middle-grade novel
in order to give the manuscript a complete overhaul.
Or maybe just a partial overhaul.
More of a lube and tune-up.
But the way my brain keeps twisting
as I struggle with the question
makes me feel I’m about as qualified
to fix this book as work on a car.
Not a good feeling.
HUGS! I’ve been there (I might be there).

It stinks, doesn’t it? I don’t know if it’s just a matter of making that connection with someone or if it really does need major work. I can’t tell anymore.
Sorry you’re also familiar with this sensation.

Have you done your arm figure eight exercises? I crack myself up when I do them, but I think they really work.
I don’t have an answer to your question but you know I’ll read for you if you want. š

Yep, figure eights before writing and brainstorming. Good stuff, isn’t it?
I think I’ll take you up on your offer when you’re done with TGM. Thanks!

Hooping might be in order this afternoon. Wish you were here to do it with me, though.
Thank you for the Rutgers line…it makes me smile!

Aw Tracy – I second Laura’s hoola hoop suggestion.
And maybe put away the ms for a while and revisit it with a fresh mind. It is VERY hard to do that but a clear mind is the best one to make decisions with.

You are wise, Sheela. Hooping and perspective might be just what I need. I’m continuing to brainstorm ideas but not taking action. We shall see. Thanks for lending your support, I really appreciate it.
