Brain Contortions

I’ve spent much of today trying to decide
whether I need to halt the agent search via
my middle-grade novel
in order to give the manuscript a complete overhaul.
Or maybe just a partial overhaul.
More of a lube and tune-up.

But the way my brain keeps twisting
as I struggle with the question
makes me feel I’m about as qualified
to fix this book as work on a car.

Not a good feeling.

    • It stinks, doesn’t it? I don’t know if it’s just a matter of making that connection with someone or if it really does need major work. I can’t tell anymore.
Sorry you’re also familiar with this sensation.

  2. Have you done your arm figure eight exercises? I crack myself up when I do them, but I think they really work.
I don’t have an answer to your question but you know I’ll read for you if you want. šŸ™‚

  4. Aw Tracy – I second Laura’s hoola hoop suggestion.
And maybe put away the ms for a while and revisit it with a fresh mind. It is VERY hard to do that but a clear mind is the best one to make decisions with.

    • You are wise, Sheela. Hooping and perspective might be just what I need. I’m continuing to brainstorm ideas but not taking action. We shall see. Thanks for lending your support, I really appreciate it.
