2. I visited with a couple of cats last night and had to scold one after she jumped up on the coffee table. My automatic dog-owner persona kicked in, I said “No!” and she jumped down.

   • I do that, too, when I’m visiting a household that includes furry friends. We’ve all got our norms for cat and dog behaviors, and I’m with you on saying NO to a dog on the coffee table!
