I didn’t make it to the scene I’d planned on writing today. These words feel like the skeleton of what is needed to advance the story so I’m guessing that months from now, when I read this first draft, I’ll be thinking of ways to add flesh to this portion of the story.
Or maybe getting out the knife.
Just get it down…. I often tell myself that the words that I’m writing are just “place holders” for the words to come.

Thank you, Laurie, for that reminder. I’m always so ready to beat myself up over what may or may not be bad writing. (slaps hand)

It’s my mantra; otherwise I wouldn’t be able to write at all.

Rock on! Just get those words out. Once they’re on paper, you can do anything with them.
You are my inspiration this week. I have six days off and am going to write like you!

Thanks for the encouragement! And I’m thrilled if the word meter and I inspired you to get those words out, too! Go get ’em!

Throw the pizza on the wall and you’ll see what sticks later. Keep on a chugging.

Wow, and I thought I was daring for throwing a piece of pasta on the wall. You throw whole pizzas on your walls?! You ARE an interior decorator! 🙂
