My thermometer (in the sun) says it’s 65 degrees outside right now. Just finished running my loop where I cut another 45 seconds off my time! Made it all the way to the top of the very last hill without stopping before having to walk a few seconds before finishing up. That thrilled me! I’m definitely regaining my strength and my lung capacity is getting better, too.
When I was walking circles to cool down, I was so grateful that I started crying a little. Running makes me so very happy and I’ve had health problems that made it difficult/impossible to run for the past two-plus years. That old saying about cherishing your health is spot-on.
I’m smiling now.
I’m smiling too, knowing that somewhere the sun is shining and it’s WARM. Our low temperature tonight is supposed to be seven degrees. SEVEN!
Run some more tomorrow, and enjoy every (fewer and fewer) second of it!

Thanks, Erin, for sharing in my happiness. So sorry you’ve got such low temps, though. I know that can wear down your morale.
And I sure hope to run again tomorrow while the pavement is still visible. We’re supposed to get more snow this weekend. Argh!

So sorry, C.K. That bitter cold gets old mighty fast. If you think it’ll help, I’ll go out on my front step (which happens to face north) and start blowing warmer air your way. It helps that I’m full of hot air. 🙂

Wow! I admire anyone who can do that. I’ve never tried and now think I’m probably too old and decrepit to train for that. My mate thinks I should be a half-marathoner because I get stronger after I’m good and loose. Maybe that can be another DISTANT goal.
Congrats on being a studly runner!
