I’m trusting my gut on this one. Knew I couldn’t move forward until I’d resolved the dynamics between two characters.
I LOVE feeling confident about what needs to be done, and am documenting this moment here for those moments in the future when I’m wallowing in doubt.

That’s wonderful, Tracy! Go, go, go!
And uh, could I borrow some of that confidence? Pretty please with a cherry? Heh heh.

Thanks, De. And I’d love to share my confidence but I’m betting you already have your own well to draw upon. Take a moment to be quiet and still, and think back to one of those moments when you knew exactly what needed to be done with one of your stories. I know it’s happened. For me, those are the times when I really and truly know that I’m a writer.
You have those moments, too; you just need to remember them.

I’m kind of stuck in in-between land right now…I have an idea of what would fix the story, but I’m not confident enough yet to charge in. Or maybe I’m just lazy (heh)…but I know what you mean, and I’m glad you’ve found it!!

It’s more difficult when it’s a charge in and fix situation. Mine was along the lines of these characters are interacting but it doesn’t feel right. I had to figure out the basis of their friendship.
But it’s such an affirmation for me when I think about the fact that I KNOW what’s wrong and that it needs to be fixed in order for the story to work.
Hope you get unstuck soon.
