Alaska Women Reject Palin rally

I’m hunkered down in the revision cave but am poking out my head to offer this extremely heartening link:

www.snopes.com/politics/palin/rally.asp

Having lived in Alaska and done my share of political work outside the Loussac Library in Anchorage, I was thrilled to see photographic proof of the profusion of anti-Palin/anti-McCain signs!  Alaska doesn’t rally in big numbers.  Ever.

Since this story isn’t getting much coverage, please feel free to post and forward this information so people understand that the supposed groundswell of support for Governor Palin is a myth.

(Am cross-posting so apologies to those who get this twice)

  1. I love the photo of the guy with the sign saying, “Proud to be a community organizer.”
I’m not at all surprised that Palin and McCain don’t know what a Community Organizer is. They say they’re all about “service” but I think it’s the word “community” that they don’t get.
Several people have sent me varying links to this rally, so maybe it’s getting more publicity than we think. I hope so! Anyway, I’m glad you posted about it.

    • Since I’ve been huddled away in revision mode I wondered if I missed this elsewhere. Glad to hear it’s making the rounds. The more than can be done to deflate that bubble, the better.
I was hoping I’d see someone I recognized in the photos but the only one was that vile Eddie Burke. He was already Mr. Toxic when we lived there (and owned a Chevron station which was platform for spewing hate and misinformation).
