We weren’t at the rally yesterday but this photo brought tears to my eyes. Colorado isn’t the most politically active state, and I’ve been at plenty of rallies at the capitol that were pretty damned small. This one was estimated by both campaign organizers and police as well over 100,000. Seeing all those people gathered together fills my heart with joy.

Truly beautiful. Wow.

It’s it gorgeous? I find myself returning to look at those photos over and over; they’re a balm to the last eight years.

Regardless of a person’s political affiliations, this photo is nothing short of amazing. It resonates hope and speaks great promises for our future, doesn’t it?

Yes! As much as certain people like to belittle hope, it’s what sustains me right now.

Little A and my husband were there! (I spent the day with J at her gymnastics meet.)
Oh, McCain was in Aurora earlier in the week and he gathered a mere crowd of 4000. HA!

I had a feeling your family would be there! How exciting for them to participate in such a massive display of activism.
We watched the news last night and it was sad the way the newscasters had to struggle to keep McCain in the picture. He’s getting swamped.

I bet you were so sad that you went to bed with a big ol’ grin on your face.

Um, yeah. But the McCain campaign is pretty pathetic and I do feel twinges of pity for him (but then I remember he is not a nice person, and I get over it).

Me too. The “official” electoral maps at CNN and whatnot seem to have Colorado as remaining “undecided,” but I’m guessing it’s going blue.

It’s feeling pretty good right now although my neighborhood has entirely too many McCain signs. Ugh.

Wow, I LOVE that picture!!! Let’s hope he did what he needed to do there!

It’s the very best photo, huh? I have good thoughts for Colorado despite our Sec of State doing his best to disenfranchise voters. We shall overcome!

A volunteer friend at the meal tonight told me he was there and that he’s in the photo on the front page of one of the newspapers. I swear he was walking on air today.

Wow! Wish I lived in a blue state…. I live in a blue county in a sea of red. The League of Women Voters tallied the school elections held last week and Obama won easily. If only the rest of Idaho would follow the lead of Latah county’s kids!

Yep, I think kids often have a better idea of what’s up.
It feels a bit more blue around here but there are still WAY too many of those other signs in my neighborhood.
