This is very cool. From George Washington to Barack Obama, each president’s face morphs into the next. Set to Ravel’s Bolero.
It’s good to finally see a person of color, and it’ll be grand to someday soon see some women, too.

What an amazing set of transformations! I got a knot in my stomach when certain presidents morphed into the next. But the last one…hurray! We’re back on the upswing.
Hmmm, though, about Ravel’s Bolero. Am I the only one who thinks of Bo Derek and the movie “Ten”?

It was fun watching Jimmy Carter’s teeth emerge. (Off topic: we got the nicest letter from the Carter Center yesterday letting us know what had been accomplished the past year but also saying since times are tough, they’d understand if we wanted to donate to local causes instead and that they’d be okay because they have a cushion to make it through. Wow. I can see why Bill O’Reilly hates Jimmy so much).
I had that thought about BD, too, but refuse to let that movie ruin my enjoyment of Bolero!

I just watched it with Zebu (he’s 12) and he got creeped out but I think it was due to morphing faces rather than the music. He isn’t familiar with the movie.

That’s cool! Funny how after carter they all smiled open mouthed.

I noticed that, too. Jimmy was such a trendsetter. Or not.

Who knew the 3/4 view was so popular. Other parts of Bolero are a lot more intense–I used that in my head when it got to the end and it worked better.
I’ve been thinking about you but didn’t want to bother you. Hope your hanging in.

Yes, it’s funny seeing the different posing trends. That’s cool you upped the Bolero intensity in your head.
Thanks for the good thoughts. And you would never be bothering me to get in touch, Linda. I’m doing better this week but am still very foggy in the head. I’ve got serious revision work to do (for that certain someone) but am making myself hold off on grabbing the knife. I’m settling for ruminating and taking notes so as not to do irreparable harm.
Hope you’re doing well, too.

Was that a revision request? EXCELLENT. Ruminating and note taking sound like a strong approach. Give that to yourself without the fear. You’ll get there. And I’ll be cheering you on. T-shirts on team members. We are back in the race. YEAH.

Cool.
This fall my husband was sometimes heard to mutter, “I’m just so sick of seeing old white guys in the White House, and I’m speaking as an old white guy.” I think many of us felt that hunger for something new, and yay, with bad news around us, I remind myself of the thrill of possibility and change and, wow, pride in our country.

This cracked me up. I’ve been muttering that old white guy stuff for a long time which doesn’t carry nearly the weight as his muttering. So glad we all got what we hoped for!
