For those who might be curious
about Tracy’s revision progress yesterday,
It was as I predicted:
She prevailed.
Never doubt a grackle’s wisdom.

Yay for prevailing, revisions, Tracie, and wise grackles.
Want to send her over my way today? Or is she still busy consulting?

I’d be happy to share since I’ve found my way again, but I haven’t seen her since yesterday morning. Would a finch do?

I’m pretty fond of that grackle. I don’t know about omens and finches. I’ll just hope she’s done her work with you and is doing good work elsewhere. And will keep an eye out.
Really, I wish my dogs were more invested in my life at the computer. They’re just staring out the window, waiting for me to get up and escort them outside.

Maybe a salamander?
I know what you mean about the dogs. All that sighing and snoring and twitching in their sleep. Not too helpful.

Hurray! I’m glad her wisdom (and your persistence) prevailed!!
I wasn’t familiar with grackle sounds, but I found a great audio/informational site here: http://animaldiversity.ummz.umich.edu/site/accounts/sounds/Quiscalus_mexicanus.html

Those audio links are so cool! However, my kitty and one of my dogs looks a bit nervous right now. They seem wary of a grackle invasion or something.
Thank you!

LOL! Is that the breakfast bell they hear?
My cats are going crazy, too!

My cat looked more afraid than hungry, but he’s kinda odd that way. Guess I’ll wait to listen again when they’re not around. Then again, maybe I’ll wait until he’s asleep and then play it again as payback for him yowling this morning (and every morning) for his food.

Thanks for the YAY!
I’m sorry you’re not fond of grackles. I think they’re sleek and shiny and scary-smart.

It all started yesterday morning when one showed up to encourage me to tackle my revisions. And now Melodye has them singing in my house and Doc is hatin’ on them and throughout it all I just wanted to share my grackle-friend’s sleek wisdom.
Everyone should have a grackle in their corner.

You and the grackle can be co-chairs of my pep squad! I need it since today a turkey vulture was circling my house. No kidding. Sitting there writing and along comes a vulture…

I like your perspective. I admit to being a bit worried.

Fantastic!
Can I consult your grackle on some writerly matters? Does she do online consultations?

I’m absolutely willing to share her expertise but I haven’t seen her in a couple of days. Maybe that vulture scared her off. When I do see her, I’ll let her know a friend up north needs help.
