Wildebeest and Co had great fun watching the wolf spider who created this scurry out and wrap an insect in webbing before devouring it. They were screaming like little, well, girls.

I love a good spider web picture! Now is certainly the time of year for them. They are absolutely going nuts with webs, egg sacs, etc. It’s Charlotte’s Web time of year!

I didn’t realize that about the time of year. Now I’ll have to really keep my eyes open for other webs and spider gear.

I found a mama spider in the basement with her little egg sac, she was guarding it carefully. A few days later, she was dead *sniff* and her babies had hatched (hundreds of little brown specks) – I moved the board they were on outside. (I don’t need hundreds of spiders in my basement! Aaack!
But, yes – I’ve been noticing their webs everywhere outside. It’s pretty cool!

I need to do the same. I spend way too much time in my own head, it’s just that it’s so nice in there. I think of it as my Secret Garden. 🙂
I love the photo! I need to get out and look more. If a person looks right, the whole world is a Secret Garden.
