Friday Five: The Parent Edition

1)  Sometimes you just want to pack a bag and run away
2)  but since that’s generally frowned upon, you hunker down
3)  and hope for a shift in attitude and behavior.
4)  The wait feels like forever, but that shift always comes,
5)  and when it does, the sun shines and the birds sing.

  1. A shift in attitude, blue skies? What are these things you speak of? 😉

And hey, why not pack a bag and run away to the west? Sometimes that works wonders!

Sending love (but not the rain) and wishes for a mellow weekend.

  2. Yup, we have a horrible 2 week phase here when school ends. The change from structured to unstructured is tough with my Big Guy. Hope it’s a quick phase for you!

  3. Shimmery tree branches, and wispy clouds floating across an impossibly blue sky … Ahh, sweet respite. Thanks for sharing the gorgeous view.

Wishing you a Zen weekend, too! xo

    • Parenting is the toughest gig, for sure. Wonder how many of us would’ve signed up if we knew the realities. Thank goddesses for the patches of blue sky.
