I’ve been AWOL, I know, but am easing back into LJ-Land with the latest creation by Wildebeest & Friends:
I peeked inside this one when talking with Wildebeest this morning
and was surprised by the spaciousness.
When Wildebeest and Zebu leave home and it’s time to down-size,Β I just might live in a fort.

Just to say I loved the last fort and this jumbo fort totally rocks! I would love to see the inside spaciousness. You make it sound like a tardis, bigger on the inside π

I wish you could come over and hang out in the fort with me, Carolyn. They took it down, but I know there will be another in the near future. The door’s always open…

I love that they’re still doing this — thanks for the smile π

I love that they still do it, too. It’s as if they want/need to keep one foot in childhood as they step into adulthood.

I would love a fort like that one for writing!

You’re right, it probably would be an excellent place to write. Wildebeest told me I wasn’t supposed to be in there with them but he let me stay for a few minutes, and I loved it in there.

This is so cool! And you’re a cool mom for allowing it.

It was an awesome fort, mainly designed by one of Wildebeest’s friends. He told me he wanted to make the biggest one yet. As for me being a cool mom, I want them to know our house is a safe place for them. And if that means push pins in everything, so be it! π

I love that kids still do stuff like this. All is not lost.

All is not lost, for sure. One time they even played Dungeons and Dragons in their fort. They’re definitely holding onto their childhoods.

You and Sweetpea are welcome to join us in the fort anytime, Amy! Be warned, though, lots of Boy Energy.
