Today’s Word: Soggy

Someone left the phone book out in the rain . . .

The thing is, we’re usually semi-arid. Other parts of the state are still very dry but we’re getting hit. It’s hailing right now. Mostly, I feel bad for my dogs who get very stressed by the thunder and lightning (I love it!) on top of those days of fireworks. I want a break for them.

    • Actually, when I posted my little lament, the sky was blue and the sun was shining. But it’s raining and hailing right now and I’ve about had enough. My dogs are nervous wrecks from all the storms (that followed days of fireworks in the beginning of the month). I’m just a whiner. 🙂

Hope you get some sunshine soon, Lorraine.

  1. LOL. The phone book looks EXACTLY like an art piece I saw last weekend at the Shelburne Museum. But I like your title better than theirs 🙂

    • That seems to be the way. Either drought or excessive rain. I’d feel better if the moisture was shared more evenly. We’re typically a semi-arid region so this rain is odd. Lots of run-off and erosion because the ground isn’t ready to absorb so much so fast.

I agree that the wet phone book is an awesome photo!
