I guess that’s basically what I strive for with my fiction: to write lies in such a way the reader realizes some truths.
I loathe liars, but this kind of lying is a pretty good gig.

Very true. We all lie; to others, and to ourselves. In my opinion, lying is a necessary evil.
As you stated, some lies lead us to truth, and some lies us away from it. Great share 😉

I agree that some lies are necessary. I’d much rather tell a wee lie than hurt someone’s feelings. As for “lying” in fiction, I’m all for it.
