Sunday Confessional: enthusiasm deficit

It’s been a rough day on the heels of other emotionally difficult days this week. Despite ordering one of these Let This Radicalize You (rather than lead you to despair) shirts a few days ago, I confess to tilting heavily toward despair right now. No need for me to list the multiple crises we’re facing because that’ll just make me more sad/angry and give people reason to quit reading.

Instead, I’ll celebrate the fact that I’m no longer withdrawing into myself and am here with a post. HELLO, OUT THERE!

Here’s one of my favorite recent photos:

Okay, that’s it for my burst of energy. Sending good wishes to anyone who’s read this far . . . ๐Ÿ’š

  1. I love the flower and especially after reading about how it unfolded – as you moved and made a post in the midst of a heavy season

    And!
If we ever get to meet in person – let’s share early July 2022 challenges and trials because I have had a couple this month too!
So let’s smile to think of that!
I also smile to imagine the testimony I will have when the challenge is worked through!
    Oh yeah!
Because this too will pass – and if we cope and take it one day at a time – much good can and will be gleaned

Sending a blog hug your way!

    • I’m sorry to hear you’re dealing with extra stuff right now. My issues are mostly those shared by the people and planet right now, which is good and bad. Good in the sense I’m not alone, bad in the sense that this stuff affects literally everyone and everything. I am rooting for you to work through those challenges and come out the other side with a smile on your face. Thank you for the kind words and support, not to mention the hug, and I send the same to you…

      • Well the challenge is mostly settled and has to do with an incident at church – and Tracy – some of the nicest people I have met in this world have been at church – however – sadly – some of the lamest and harshest people I have met have been at church.
Now the good news – and as an author I think you can relate
This recent situation had given me fodder for a book I am working on!

One of many books I have in a Draft folder and I know each will have different birthdates โ˜€๏ธโ˜€๏ธ

Anyhow – it is going to be a book about my thoughts and experience with the Christian church in the USA.

And glad your situation is not too bad – I thought it was worse because of the word despair and just the tone

        • I’m glad you’re already seeing light at the end of that challenge tunnel! And HOORAY you can use it for your writing! Your project sounds very interesting and I’m here cheering you on. ๐Ÿ™‚

My tone was pretty bleak, I know. The climate crisis and pandemic were hitting me hard yesterday. But I’m handling things better today. Thank you again for the support.
