Gratitude

This morning started out rough as the weight of all we’re enduring hit me. Sometimes I wish I could live in a happy state of denial (“the pandemic is over and X, Y, Z aren’t happening, either!”), and eagerly greet each new day. Alas, I’m not wired that way.

The good news is, I’m feeling better now.
The birds are singing and the sun is shining.
Gratitude!

And I’m forever grateful that sunflowers exist.

  1. When I ‘m going through a tough time I remind myself it won’t always be like this. When I’ve had a tough day I say, “Let’s put this day to rest.” It’s a reminder to myself to take each day as it is and not let the stress of one day carry over to the next. Take care!

    • Thank you, Melanie. Yes, reminding myself that the down feelings aren’t permanent is very helpful. I like putting the day to rest, too. I say something similar at the end of rough days. I hope you and your family are staying safe and doing as well as possible.

  2. Sometimes I think that’s the price we pay for caring. There will always be people and animals for us to stand up for and give a voice to. So many good causes. It does feel overwhelming at times. I’m 100% in agreement with you on singing birds and sunflowers! 😀
