Bees, blooms, and butterflies.
I’m posting this photo as my reward for all I’ve accomplished today:
- Exercise (indoor, again)
- Revised a chapter
- Healthy (mostly) eating
- Finished Shirley Jackson’s LIFE AMONG THE SAVAGES
- Swept the floor
- Stayed the hell off Twitter (mostly)
- Focused (mostly) on things within my control
- Played with Emma and snuggled with Marcel (and allowed Loki to nap without interruption)
Yes, I’m one of those people who derive great satisfaction from checklists. And they’re especially important to me on days in which I feel very close to the edge.
Well done, Tracy.
I love Life Among the Savages and treasure my 1953 edition with the dust jacket illustrated with a picture of their home. I admire her writing style immensely!

That’s wonderful you have that edition, Becky. Especially since you love the book so much. Her writing style is masterful.

Fellow checklister here! I feel the same way about them. That list is impressive, and so is that photo. Wishing you some good days well away from the edge.

Sending good wishes back to you, Amy. Whatever we can do to keep on going, right? I’m so grateful for getting back on track with my WIP because when I start peering over that edge, I shift focus onto my chars whom I love.
