Year of the Rabbit

I was positive 2010 would be my year.

It was the Year of the Tiger,
and because I was born in the Year of the Tiger,
I was convinced ferociously good stuff was headed my way.

It is to laugh.

Today marks the beginning of the Year of the Rabbit.
I have no expectations for 2011.

Rabbits are nice enough.
Huge floppy ears.
Big-ass feet.
Fluffy little tails.

Whatever.

I actually love rabbits very much and am thrilled whenever I see them as I run the trails. I’m just saying I’m not falling into the tiger-trap again.

Rabbits are rabbits, and that is good.

  1. Right on. The Year of the Tiger wasn’t so hot for Tigers. But Chinese astrology doesn’t have much going for it. Did everyone in your class, all born in the same year, have similar personalities? I suspect not.

And according to Chinese astrology, M and I are supposed to be incompatible. I think not!

  2. 2010 was not so hot for me. But that makes me think that 2011 has to be better. At least I hope so. I’m definitely going to do my best to increase the odds. Bring it on, rabbits.
